My Portfolio - Legoman - Super(lego)man
This is Super(lego)man. I went to see the new movie, Superman Returns on Monday 17th July 2006 and its an amazing movie so I knew that I couldn't go without creating my own version of the character ... and here he is. He was pretty simple to make, taking about half an hour, an hour at the most to make. A process that includes making the image maps, any bits specific to the character (e.g. the hair curl, the cape) and trying to finalise the correct colours but seeing as I already had a blank Legoman ready to send to the costume department it doesn't include modeling.

This render is based on the first image I saw of Brandon Routh as Superman. I think it was from the first press release showing who was going to be superman and what he was going to look like in his constume and everything, but I could be wrong. This image is made to look like that though, just to be able to show Super(lego)man. |

This is actually the first pose I did with Super(lego)man but I decided to put the just standing one first on this page cos it shows him off slightly better than these do, it shows off the different parts better and its always good to let people see the character fully in a neutral pose before giving a pic where a leg or an arm might be covering something they wanna see. Anyway, the first image is a pretty much straight head-on view, the second is more focused on showing as much of him as possible and the third is just kind of a close-up on his head and his upper-body. |
