My Portfolio - Legoman - Lego Loz

This is Lego Loz. Ever since I rented Advent Children a couple of months ago I've loved it and everything about it so after I finished modeling Lego Cloud and then Lego Sephiroth I knew I had to other 3 remnants ... and here is Loz. He tooka bit of time to make, what with the claw and the gun but the rest was pretty simple. The image maps afterall are pretty much the same for all 3 remnants - Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo.

Every image I make for and with Lego Loz will at some point end up on this page :-)

Lego Loz - Click To Enlarge

This image was inspired by the scene in the Forgotten City (the base of Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo) when Cloud tries to go and get the kids back. Just before the fight between Cloud, Loz and Yazoo starts theres a shot where Loz and Yazoo are shooting at Cloud on his motorbike, with Kadaj standing between them. This image is based on that shot.

It didn't really take that long to make, with the hardest part being trying to get the camera view right, so that it could fit everything in and look as close to the real thing as possible.

To finish it off I added the gradient and the shapes of the image below. I like it but I don't think it'll be 100% finished and me satisfied with it until I attempt to model some trees for the background. Until then though this will have to do :-)

Lego Loz - Click To Enlarge

This image was inspired by the scene on the highway, not that far from the end of the movie, where Cloud is once again unleashed against both Loz and Yazoo at the same time.

At the end of the fight Cloud fends off both of his attackers with his swords, where for his finale he swirls around in the air, slicing both Loz's claw and Yazoo'z gun in half. This pose is based on that moment.

It didn't really take long to do. All I had to do was simply pose the characters and then slightly edit parts like the coats and Yazoo's hair so that they reflected the movement involved.

To finish it I added the gradient and the shapes to the background, both of which are present on other AC stuff, like the DVD cover.

I really like this image, I've actually got it as my desktop wallpaper at the moment *thumbs up*
