My Portfolio - Legoman - Lego Feeder
![]()
Feeder are my fave band EVER so I thought I'd have a go at making Lego versions of each member.
This is Lego Grant. Grant Nicholas is the lead singer, lead guitarist, keyboardist and songwriter for Feeder.
This is Lego Taka. Taka Hirose is the bass player for Feeder.
This is Lego Mark. Mark Richardson has been the drummer in the band since 2002.

This is my Lego version of a band performance. I started work on
it a about two months ago, but I never got past making most of Grant's
guitar. The guitar wasn't brilliant though so I gave up. I saw Feeder
performing Shatter (the new single and one of the best songs they've
ever recorded) on Top Of The Pops (a usually crappy UK music show
for those who don't know) on sunday and it was a great performance,
good enough to inspire me to go back to what I'd started. I remade
the guitar from scratch because the old one wasn't at all smooth,
it had loads of jagged edges. So I started work on the guitar and
I just kept going. Last night I got Grant's guitar, Taka's bass
and the mics finished, and today I've done Mark's drum-kit. I put
them all together and this is what I got. I actually really like
it.
Next step, finding a way to send it to the band, lol.

This render is the same pose as the one above, I haven't moved around
the band or their instruments or anything. The changes in the image
though are the Feeder logo and the placement of the camera. I made
the Feeder logo a while ago (see it in the 3D
Models section) but I never really had anything to use it with
and I couldn't think of a decent thing to do with it. But now that
I've made Lego Feeder I thought it would be a perfect opportunity
to finally put it to some use. I think it goes well in the image,
even if I did have to lighten the colour because it detracted from
the characters. It may not be the real logos colour now but oh well,
as long as the pic looks better for it what does it matter?
I'm really proud of this whole thing. I'm really glad I decided to come back to it and try again. I might never have gotten it done and then I wouldn't of had the chance to like it as much as I do. So thanks to TOTP for having Feeder on the show, and even more thanks to the band themselves, for being as great as they are :-)
