My Portfolio - 2D Imagery - The Legend Of Zelda
![]()
These images have all been drawn in Illustrator. I used the original images as reference but what you see here is 100% my own work. I haven't taken any parts from the original images, it's all my own work. There will definately be more pics to come but for now I hope you enjoy these :-)

Another Illustrator drawing. This is just an image I found when I did a Google image search for Ocarina of Time. The main reason for doing this image now is that a few days ago I started playing through the game again and I felt like doing something to do with it, and the only thing I could think of was a drawing, and this is the end product. It doesn't have the full level of detail of the original image, like shadows, different shades of colour and the detail on the grass, but I like to keep it simple, its alot easier, haha. Its cool :-) |

Yet another of my Illustrator drawings. I love The Legend Of Zelda, specifically The Ocarina Of Time which has got to be my favourite videogame of all time, and I was just a bit bored yesterday so I decided to find a picture of Link off the net and try redoing it using Illustrator. I didn't do much of the picture yesterday because I started it a bit late but I carried on with it today and got it finished. Overall I think it must have taken me about 5 hours or so to complete, but I think it was worth all the work cos I like how its turned out. Like many images created in Illustrator, the placement of all the layers was all that I really had to take time to think about but other than that the picture was quite easy to do. I really like it :-) |

This image is just the shield itself, the main thing I decided to make. What came after was just whatever I decided to do after this was finished. |
This is the shield with the sword added in behind. The basic Zelda logo without the text. |
And this is the finished article. When I say finished I mean I haven't done anything for a while and I might not for a while to come, although there is some detail missing on the lettering. |
These images are the logo and all of the objects contained in it. I decided to create it a few months ago when I decided to replay The Ocarina Of Time (my fave videogame ever made). I totally love the game and I just thought it would be cool to recreate the logo. I made it entirely within Illustrator and brought it all together with Photoshop. It took me, I think, about 2 days to complete. On the first day I got the shield and the sword done and the second day was needed to add in the text of the logo.
To be honest, I'm kind of proud of this image. I think it turned out quite nice and I like the way it looks. I like the cartoony look that comes with the stroke and lack of colour variation (shading). :-)
