My Portfolio - 2D Imagery - Final Fantasy X
These images have all been drawn in Illustrator. I used the original images as reference but what you see here is 100% my own work. I haven't taken any parts from the original images, it's all my own work. There will definately be more pics to come but for now I hope you enjoy these :-)

I just love doing drawings like this in Illustrator, I'm probably just sad but I find it really enjoyable. This image is of Auron, probably the coolest character in Final Fantasy X. Auron is my fave character along with Tidus and yesterday it was a choice between those two characters to make an image of. In the end I chose to do Auron, although I'll probably try doing Tidus pretty soon. The original image, that I used for reference, is a conceptual sketch of the character. The image was quite easy to make, with the only thing requiring me to stop and think being the placement of objects and layers so that I could get the proper places to overlap without totally messing it up. One thing I'm not really happy about is the lack of shading. The original image has shading but I don't know how to make the shading fade out in Illustrator. I tried doing just block shading like on my Animatrix images but it didn't look right so I just left the shading out. Apart from that though I really like the pic. |
